CineFocus was contracted by Global
Television to produce a
total of 28
Northern Lights episodes for their network.
These are one-minute homages to great Canadian
entertainers that air in-between scheduled programs.
Season 1 is a legacy to the successful careers of musicians
Randy Bachman, Jann Arden, Susan Aglukark, and Natalie
MacMaster, actors Sean Cullen, Leslie Nielsen, Colm
Feore, and Tonya Lee Williams, and award winning directors
Denys Arcand and Bruce McDonald. Season 2 is a tribute
to musicians K-os, Sam Roberts, John Kay, Steven Page,
Ron Sexsmith, and Oscar Peterson; actors Megan Follows,
Shirley Douglas, Eric Peterson, Graham Greene, Paul
Gross, and Steve Smith; directors David Cronenberg, Don
McKeller, and Norman Jewison; and broadcasters Stuart
McLean, Sook-yin Lee and Jeanne Beker.
