PROJECTS

Since 1991 CineFocus Canada has produced more than 25 hours of prime-time TV programs, broadcast around the world, and over 50 high quality, cost effective, educational and promotional videos for clients. Since our productions are national in scope, many are produced in both French and English. In 2003, we expanded the reach of our programs to digital platforms to change the way people watch – and interact with – documentaries and videos. We invite you to view our finished work and read about the projects we have underway – and thank you for dropping by.

Testimonial

At every stage of each project the CineFocus team delivered high value. In planning productions they brought great creative ideas to the table, when scripting our videos they delivered compelling text that touched peoples’ hearts as well as their minds, and in the edit suite high production values that always strengthened our message.

Mary MacNutt, Communications Director | Association of Ontario Health Centres

Nothing inspires confidence like a track record of success. That's how I feel about CineFocus Canada. I have been hiring them consistently since 1992 and have never been disappointed with my choice in video production. From the idea onward, Joan Prowse and the entire CineFocus Canada team has your back.

David W. Watts, Satisfied CineFocus Canada customer

They chose to explore climate change and other environmental issues in an engaging and entertaining fashion: this approach garnered good audience numbers both on-line and on air for TVO and this led to our ongoing support for multiple seasons of the project.

Christine McGlade, TVO Executive in Charge of Production, Green Heroes

Over the nine months I worked with Joan and John closely, they demonstrated foresight and integrity. They were dedicated and hardworking; even with extra-ordinary deadlines, they never missed one. Notably, they were very open to feedback, in fact, welcomed it; they engaged authentically in dialogue and also helped elevate the conversations around them.

Susan Stein, Advisor on Paul Kane Interactive project at Canadian Film Centre’s CFC Media Lab

CineFocus Canada spent over a year travelling to document me at tribute events, on a two week concert tour in Western Canada, at art gallery openings, teaching on reserves, and at my home in Hawaii and on the Piapot Reserve with my family. Whether Joan was backstage or in my family’s kitchen, as the director, she handled each situation with the utmost respect, sensitivity, and professionalism.
